Good/Bad Experiences With Nokya Brand H13s/H8s?

so i just took delivery on my 08 MCS...the lighting is horrible....even with the fogs on....i guess i am comparing them to the xenon factory headlights from my 07 MCS (dealer had to do a transfer of colleteral - having too many problems with that 07) but i am really unhappy with the regular halogens in the 2008....and I didn't pay enough attention when ordering the 08 to make sure it had xenons....oh well...

was thinking of picking up a pair from Nokya ($60)

Nokya Arctic White H13 (High Wattage Stage II)

they are 80/100 instead of the normal wattage..i shouldn't have any problems with melting any of the housing right??

i am finding that thier is little in the way of H13 & H8 (too new of a size)which is the fog....cause i want the lights to at least...somewhat match...there for also picking up a pair of the ($26) Nokya Arctic White H8

anybody use them/heard anything exceptionally bad??

any info would be great...

totally open to any other bulbs for my 08 that i can match the H13 (driving) and fog (H8)

thanks again

adam

FWIW, I would stick to 4300-5000k for color temperature; it provides more useful wavelengths of light that humans can actually see. The purple crap might look phat or dope (or whatever the disenfranchised youth says now) but it doesn't help you see the road.
I don't know that brand and asked some lighting experts about it also. They hadn't heard of it either.
And I wouldn't go higher in watts than 65. The obc might sense it and throw a code --- could also melt.

If a 9008 bulb has contacts of similar size to a 9004, don't even both with higher wattage bulbs. Everyone I know who's tried them has ended up with melted bulbs and connectors. It could also short out your headlight switch and possible start a fire.

Also, if the reflectors in the halogen headlights don't have a nice sharp cuttoff pattern, please don't install higher wattage bulbs as you're just going to blind all of us.

If you take a look at H4 bulbs you'll see the contacts are more than twice as big and can easily handle the higher current draw.
