What are the rubber nubs on the center console for?

My car has two little rubber "nubs" on either side of the niche in front of the drink holders. What are they for?

Not a clue. I pulled mine to mount a XM Sportscaster.

Percy still runs and corners well.

I dunno.

They're to distract you from wondering why there is a strofoam wedge with a slit in it taking up half the otherwise servicable space in the door pockets.

There is a little rubber cubby thing that goes in there, the nubs are to hold it in position. Here is a pic of one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bmw-mini-one-c...QQcmdZViewItem

Do not buy on Ebay though. They are ~£4 ($8US) from dealers here, so someone is trying to make a profit on Ebay.

cd's

Assuming you're not using your Aux jack (or USB, I guess, if you have it) and there's nothing in your cup holders or lighter slot you can insert about 6 CD jewel cases into that pocket, resting on top of the rubber nubs, and they:
-Won't fall out
-Can be inserted or removed easily
-Go in at the same angle as the top of the hole
-And present their end labels so you can read them.

Suspiciously the same # of jewel cases fit as CDs in the changer....

Interesting. I'll have to go dig up some CDs. Thanks!
