OK, So I am antsy to see my baby...

How many days between Port Hueneme arrival and arrival to dealership in Portland? On average? Any guestimates?

Yeah - that and I have a timing issue. My current ride ('06 Honda CRV) will be sold to its new owner on 9/10. I am trying to guage whether I will need a rental to get to work or not.

I don't know if this will help, but your MA should get a printout of cars that clear the VDC. If you can find out when your car clears (by pestering them...you do have a good reason) then your MINI should be less than one week away. Some dealers have MINI loaner cars...maybe they can help you out if you have a short term need. Good luck!!!

I sold my car last month. I'm now sharing a car with my daughter. She is not happy. If my MINI doesn't arrive soon, I'm giving her the dealer number. Talk about relentless.....:impatient

The PDX estimate I got was ~9/20 delivery, try calling our dealer your MA estimate. I sure hope mine overestimated the time needed to get it to me.

Hey Kimberely and Mini2na,
Relax, take a breath....
At least from what I recalled it took to get from Port Hueneme to the dealership anywhere from 3 - 10 days. There are always some variances...this in due to checkups at the Port or any last minute item being installed at the Port. Ofcourse conversely if it hits Rasmussen's in 3 days you may still have to wait on it as any items being specially installed at the dealership too.
Hope this helps.

You are just being rational and sensible because you have your MINI already.

Yeah I was in the same "boat" you were not long ago...getting all antsy for my new car. Don't worry Kimberely time will go by real fast and before you know it...you'll be in your new MINI!

10 days is a safe estimate for planning purposes, but nothing is guaranteed, of course.

WHY SHOULD WE BE RATIONAL?????? We are MINI-less, honking and waving at MINIs from our non- MINI-mobiles, brainwashing our children, alienating our spouses, delaying dinner because there are new NAM posts. . .
Seriously, twice last week I slept on the sofa so I didn't have to tell my hubby how late I was up browsing the forums (2AM ish)

Good point...if there ever was a time to be irrational, it'd be from arrival at the VDC to arrival at the dealer. It's a black hole that has tormented many of us!!!!

I concur! It isn't funny either. My spouse is about to commit me.

There really should be a support group for the spouses of MINI owners-in-waiting. They could meet at the dealership on Wednesday nights and tell their tragic, bizarre tales.

Maybe it should be at a bar, instead of a dealership?

Hello everyone. I'd like to intoduce you to my ship mates. They are lots of fun and YES we are crazy right now! We've been waiting long enough (in our world).
I think I could speak for us all and ask, "Why couldn't they have just air freighted the NAM members cars over just this once?" Now that I'm thinking of it, why not have that be a NAM membership right?

I'm with you (and also without a car right now). I sold mine 7 days ago and have been bumming rides to work.

Not an option for me - when my car gets sold (10 days) and my MINI isn't here yet - I need to rent a vehicle. Too far to work. Hopefully this won't be much of an issue.

I was kind of hoping for the 'beam me up Scotty' kind of thing Where's that guy who is in charge of assimilating people?

I like this idea even better. Let's expand it and ask to be beamed over to watch them come off the line too with an option to assist in the build.
