Leaving today for Halifax on the Undine anyone else? Any Canadians?

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if there is anyone else out there headed to the East Coast. The ship I'm on, Undine is leaving today (July 24th), has 87 VIN's onboard and is stopping at Halifax July 31, (I'm in Toronto, any other Canadian's on board?) and then New York Aug 2, Baltimore Aug 4 and finally Brunswick Aug 7th. Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Halifax to Toronto? ie: process, train ride, dealer process time? Thanks for any input!

My MINI was produced in week 26 and as far as I know it’s on route to Toronto. I’ll be picking it up on Monday or Tuesday next week, but that’s because they’re tinting the windows – takes 3 days – and installing an iPod adapter. I guess it takes about a week from the time it’s off the ship in Halifax till you get the keys.

btw, my MCS is DS /w black roof & mirror caps and black stripes...twins? :P

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I'm curious about tinting the windows. Are you having all the windows done? Can you give me a ballpark cost?

Thanks!

The tinting is done by Mini Oakville. Back side windows and rear hatch window are getting the treatment. I'm not sure if there's any tinting, even slight, applied to door windows and windshield, but the whole thing looks really good when done.
I wasn't much interested in it when my dealer proposed it, but when I saw a red R53 on the lot with the BMW tint I had to get it. I'm paying 500$ for it and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Thanks Adrian!
I bought my Mini at the Oakville dealer so I'll have to talk to them.
All the best,

Adam

If you live around Toronto, you can check out the tint on my car once I get it next week and see if you like it.
One thing - the car must be at the dealership for 3 days for the tint to cure.

That would be cool. I live in Oakville so maybe I'll just pop by the dealership on Monday.

Enjoy it!

Nuendo,
We will be twins, I'm getting tint done as well, I can't remember the exact %, but driver and passenger will be one grade lighter than the back sides and rear. I don't have the invoice on me, but I think it was around $450, I'm dealing with Downtown Mini. I'll keep my eye open for you. Let us know how the iPod adapter goes, I was so tempted, but the price after the install, I was quoted almost $1000, so I'm going to wait and see.

Enjoy the ride on the Undine folks, great ship. You probably want to check out this thread regarding tracking/"stalking" the Undine!

MINIBIRD was delivered via the Undine ealier this month, and is doing great. There is also a poster in that thread that had his MINI delivered to Toronto via Halifax..... I think it took a week.

Nuendo,
Normally you can drive a car that's been tinted away 5 minutes after there done, and it takes about 1 hour to do most cars. 3 days? Normally they say "stay out of rain or carwash for 3 days, and don't raise/lower windows.

What kind of tint did you get, and pictures?
