Piano Black vs Brush Alloy with Redwood Lounge

Hi fellow MINI fans,

I ordered my SS/B MCS this week and having second thoughts about getting brush allow with the redwood lounge leather. I've seen pictures with both but have not seen it in person and do not know if i should change from brush alloy to piano black. Can anyone who have these two combos advise me? So many options so many second guessings here. Arghhh!

I have the alloy, but with redwood red I think I'd get the english oak. Also, note that the gray colorline matches the piping of the redwood red.

I got the Redwood Red with English Oak and like it providing you go with the wooden steeering wheel, having said this, the Piano Black will look great as well.

see attachd picture in my gallery

Can't picture the more industrial brushed finish with the leather ...

I have the redwood red with piano black. Love it. Wouldn't have gone with anything different. I would also reccomend getting the anthracite headliner.

The anthracite is a must - it looks so much better than the grey

I have Redwood Red with English Oak. Not a great combo. Black would look far better than Brushed Metal. However, see it before ordering. The Oak is quite dark.

I have the redwood with the brush alloy and the standard headliner. The combo works great and gives it a little more "sporty look" when the piano blacks more "classy" looking. If you go with the black you should get the dark headliner

I agree!

I was going for the alloy until I compared the two in person, you definitly need to go and compare for your self. Alloy is not what I imagined it to be. While I still think it is nice, it is more rugid and course feeling than what I was thinking.

IMHO, the higher grade leather goes with the "classy" look much better, but go see them, even if it is a long drive.

I have the redwood red lounge leather. with piano black.

The anthracite headliner is a MUST HAVE.

The Piano black looks incredible... but the brushed aluminum, being real metal, will hold up better over time. I just figured I would rather have somthing that looked terrific 100% of the time and replace a trim piece here or there every few years, myself.

lucky you,

you get to choose.....
here in Canada.. if you choose redwood, it must be combined with Piano Black and nothing else.

Paradude,

I think you'll be happy with either. I, too, will order the LL Red and have bounced back and forth between the tim colors. Was in my dealership yesterday and decided against the "wood" with/or all piano black and am now planning to order the brushed alloy. I prefer the way it lightens things up a bit. Like the kid the candy store, it all looks good.

I just ordered a DS with Rewood and piano black. But, I don't think you can wrong with either. Eventually, I had to tell myself to stop second guessing myself on every decision. I'd end up driving my MA nuts.
