R56 This is a SIRIUS question
I think for the price of the NAV they should include sirius.
mcarlo, if you are thinking about getting it, go by your local mini dealer and look at it. In my opinion the controls are easy to jog through, but i did not get to add a destination on the NAV. However, you may feel differant. The cool factor is really high.

With the way that MINI integrated the SatNav display into the car, I'm surprised it's not standard. Thru the Nav you can set/get stuff like:
1. Daytime running lights, auto-door locks, audio settings, etc
2. Get safety messages (washer fluid low, tire pressure low, etc)
3. Make & receive calls via bluetooth connection
My Mini went into production June 19th and I'm getting the NAV system, the audio package (which includes Sirius) and the alarm system.
Agreed!

With the Nav, you can hop over the the System Status screen and see a realtime update of when your Front Brakes, Rear Brakes, Oil, Coolant, State Inspection are due.
if you need another push, I'm a not a mini owner (yet) but Sirius is great
my aftermarket head unit in my current ride has a very limited display, but i've never had a problem with it (no song title, just channel and genre)
i leave it on Faction almost all the time anyway (28) and sometimes switch to 29 or the techno channels
