Barely runs after intake manifold removal

I just removed the intake manifold on my 2009 Mini Cooper S to replace the coolant pipe from the pump to the thermostat housing. I also replaced the thermostat housing.

After re-assembling everything, it barely starts, idles very rough, and I get no increase in RPMs with pressing on the gas pedal.

Any guess as to what I did? I looked around carefully for unconnected wires or hoses and didn't see anything.

It is still leaking coolant, so I have to take it all down again and put it back together. Hopefully my mistake will reveal itself. But if anyone has ideas of anything particular to look for, that would be great.

Thanks!

Please let us know what you find out. I just replaced my coolant pipe by removing the intake manifold as well. I do recall it was three electrical plugs and one vacuum line that connected to the underside of the manifold. Still waiting for the thermostat housing to arrive. How did your intake valves look?

Missed plug

Well, surprise surprise, I missed a plug near the thermostat housing and another plug was a little loose. “Leak” turned out to just be from the bleeder valve which I forgot to close. I did not peak in at the valves because I knew I wasn’t going to do anything about them, especially as my son has now inherited this car. :)
