Inner Tie Rod tool
Hi,
2009 R55 Clubman. Does anyone know what size tool is required or where I could get one. So far tried 2 sets. Both fails. Sizes included: From Amazon, Dual tie rod tool 1-3/16” and 1-5/16” hex; 3 adapters: 1-3/16”, 1-5/16” and 1-7/16” in 1-5/16” hex; red case The other one was from Harbor Freight https://www.harborfreight.com/inner-...set-63705.html All sizes from both kits were to small or to big. Nothing seems to fit. I know there are universal ones.

Any help is really appreciated! Thanks, Frank |
I literally JUST completed replacing my inner tie rods over the weekend, haven't even been able to get the car int the alignment shop yet.
I used this tool: Tool worked great, just needed to use all of my 1/2" socket extensions to get out past the brake rotor. Where are you located? I could loan it to you... |
I also just finished my tie rods.
I used a sawzall and a right angle grinder because when trying to spin the nut the hex stripped on the other end. :) |
