Bluetooth issues with 2013 Clubby

I purchased an LG/G5 Android phone about a year ago and have had reliability issues with connecting through Bluetooth in my 2013 Clubman. My previous phone was also Android, but it worked reliably. The newer LG phone will connect OK at first, and then after just a couple of minutes on a call it will jump back over to the handset and if I wait a couple minutes, it may reconnect to the MINI bluetooth. This behavior is maddening and makes it unusable. The same thing happens with multimedia Bluetooth connections and songs start fine, but don't fully playout before Bluetooth audio switches out.

Anyone else seen this problem? I have deleted the phone and reconnected several times without solving the issue. MINI service didn't seem to have any suggestions other than that.

did you try another phone on it to see if the phone is the issue rather than the module? maybe your phone is set to battery save mode when the screen turns off, it disconnects bluetooth to save battery?

Yes my old Android phone worked no problem and I believe my son's iPhone works too. My current LG G5 is set for battery saver at 15% charge only, so I don't think that's the issue.
