2009 Clubman

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I'm very new to this, so I ask you to bare with me. I have a 2009 Clubman that have put me through hell and I'm still in hell with it. I still owe money on the car but I have already put some money in it to fix it and the SOB still needs more. So I have decided to keep the thing, fix it and turn it into somewhat of a fast car. By any means I don't have a lot of cash, but I do like the way it drives that's why I have decided to keep it. I really want to make this thing fast. What's the best way to start and where to start? Lots of people tell me to get pulleys and what not, other say get a chip and tune it up. They all sound great, but I really need some guidance on this.

Thanks

First question: Cooper S, or “Justa” Cooper?

Minis really like suspension mods first. Make it handle like no ones business.

If you want fast, get rid of it and get an "S". If you want great gas mpg, keep is stock and just drive it.

My favorite bang-for-the-buck mod:
https://www.waymotorworks.com/nm-eng...nt-insert.html

This will tighten up the throttle response by preventing the engine from twisting on the mounts before turning the wheels....makes for a more direct connection between your right foot and the car. Will work fine on a Justa with an automatic.
