hood fitment

Hey all, I searched on the forum but could not find anything about this.
Any way, my wife and I just bought a 2013 clubman that needs some body work. I will be doing the work myself but I am having a difficult time finding a used hood for the base model. I did find one at a junkyard that is off of an S model but was not sure if it would fit. The research that I did says that it should fit with the only difference being the scoop. I was wondering if anyone here has actually put an S hood on a base model, or if they know anyone that has done so. I do not see why the hoods would be that different but I wanted to make sure before I spent $300 on a hood that does not fit. Thanks in advance. Ill try to post some pictures after its all fixed up.

I haven't done the swap, but I remember reading about others that have done it. I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem.

When you reassemble everything, one thing to note is that the horizontal gap between the front bumper cover and the hood (under the headlights) has a little bit of adjustment. If you don't watch it, the gap on one side might not match the gap on the other side....I know because I've made the same mistake.

UPDATE!!!

I was able to get the S model hood and it seems like everything fits perfectly fine like I imagined it would. Though I guess in the accident the hinges for the hood got tweeked so I will either have to try to bend them back or get new ones.
