2010 clubman lowering advice
Hello , new to the forum but not to mini. I have owned a few r53s cooper's but this is my first clubman s. My question is this , what coilers fit my mini ? I've researched the brands and even asked a few vendors and none have gave me a clear answer. I would rather order once. If this question has been asked before please excuse me. I went though a few pages and didn't see this question. Thanks in advance

You want coil overs? Any available option for the R56 will also fit the R55 - same suspension design. There are a few options that have R55 specific springs rates, but I doubt that the ride will be much different.

i had some R56 Megan coilovers on my daily driver Clubby... they were an improvement over my worn out stock shocks, and I liked that I could dial in the ride height. Overall, they worked well.
I have some NM Alpha Springs and Bilstein shocks on my Clubby JCW now. Good ride height for me, and the Bilsteins are great for average roads and the occasional autocross and track day. |

I personally drive a clubman as out daily shop car and can tell you pretty much all the R56 springs and coilovers will fit the R55 too.
Now with that said some of the springs like H&R are specific for Clubman and Not as they do a different rear. But in general even with coilovers they will fit and work. Some coilovers we would adjust a little more stiffer in the rear due to the slight extra weight. Here is what all we offer in coilovers https://www.waymotorworks.com/08-10-...lovers-shocks/ But ideally shoot me an email and we can discuss your goals and budget to get the right setup for you info@waymotorworks.com |
Just checked the box they came in - they are specific for the R55. Not sure if NM still makes them.

The problem I have installing a set of R56 springs on an R55 is the rear would probably be lower than desired.
