Has anyone found a replacement for the rubber strip attached to the windscreen cowl. Mine has completely degraded and broken off due to the lovely Australian sun. I don't want to have to buy a whole new two piece cowl...by the way if I do does anyone know where to source the Australian version with the battery on the left side?

So I did a bit of research and believe I have found a practical and still aesthetically pleasing solution. The gap that is left between the existing cowl and the windscreen is 3.5 mm. I have found a fender flare material that seems to do the trick. Its 5mm thick and 17mm wide...just enough to fit...all i did was loosen the 2 bolts and 2 screws on the end of the cowl and placed and adjusted the height of the material and then bolted everything down. The pressure of the cowl holds it in place. $18 for the fix.
Welcome, nice mod. I did not know there were that much down there. May look to bringing them in for RHD, but it will be a while. Also, it will be possible over 100USD to ship this large item to Australia. It's not the weight but the size.

I need to replace mine as well. 2011 JCW / Texas. Mine is completely shot. Can you share what you ordered for yours so I can obtain the same piece? Thanks in advance!
If your in Texas, I would look up your local rubber extrusion supplier and show them the pictures that I supplied. It is called fender flare material and got it in Australia where I live at a place called Clark rubber....https://www.clarkrubber.com.au/ Doesnt seem to be listed on their site. The pic of rubber that Im holding is the best pic...the double layer fits under the cowl and the single angle sets against the screen.
