Help ID'ing some chewed wires under the hood....
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Folks,
Sorry to ask for help in my first post here, I know that's kind of poor form  But I could really use some help determining what some jerk rodent was munching on in my engine bay. I am not a rodent expert but I believe it was a muskrat or marmot or something like that, just chilling on top of my motor snacking on wires. Anyone able to id these two? One leads to a connector mounted on the firewall, the other appears to go under the engine cover, possibly the valve cover: Attachment 193894 Any help identifying these would be super helpful. I plan to repair them, just trying to determine how feasible replacement will be. |
Update:
The one near the firewall is for the starter solenoid. The one on the lower left coming out of the engine cover is for the VANOS (variable valve timing) actuator. Fixed 'em both and cleared the P0013 and she's good as new. Cheers! |
Good form Nate!

I had this happen with my 2005 MCC twice, it was in the spring time right when the weather was getting nice. Dang rodents.

Letting it happen again is akin to the old saw about insanity. To prevent further occurrences, follow the below link to a very effective rodent eliminator.
