Oil filter assy leaking

I have an oil leak around the oil filter assy and a tube (or large vacuum line) that is producing smoke when you first start it up in the morning (until it burns it off). Looking at the car from the front, it is on the right side, just below the oil filter 'cap' (and some other line?) producing smoke from there.

I order the oil assy gasket, oil filter, oil and will tackle it this on the weekend. Is there any advice on what I should not do or do while I am at this?

Update, as I got deeper into it. The problem was the o-ring-seal for the vacuum pump. It was actually a quick job, 2 bolts, removing a line. I could see it being a pain in the ass if you have turbo.....

The hardest part was driving across town to the dealer to get the o ring.

Thanks for the update, so it was the smaller seal, or the seal that connects the two halves to the vaccum pump?

The Oring sets between the head and the pump itself , there is no gasket part # for the split on the two halves of the vacuum pump. Most leak at the connection from the head to the vacuum pump itself. 11667566483

It is still leaking. When we first start it up it smokes from the exhaust flex pipe, from oil dripping onto it. It seems to be from the general area of the right side, below the vacuum pump. The car has had leaks before I got it, so I may need to clean it first then start the search. I have replaced the oil pan seal, and now the vacuum pump seal, which were both leaking but not causing the smoke.

Still on the hunt for that leak.

Did you check the valve cover and the oil filter housing? 11427558521

I had the same, tore everything out and changed the the housing gasket, cooler gasket and oil filter gasket. turns out leak was from the oring from the turbo drain.
