2008 R55 Turbo Clutch

Good morning everyone,
I have a 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S and the throwout bearing is going bad. I know when replacing this its a good idea to have the clutch and flywheel replace as well. My question is, I've read about a Single Mass Flywheel conversion kit for the R55 I just can't find where to buy it online, does anyone know?
Any help would be great,
Mike

There aren't any single mass conversions on the market that are worth the money at the moment aside from the OS Giken options.

We have the factory clutch setups on hand, Valeo clutch

You're going to have a lot of time and money involved to change just the throw out bearing, and yes, highly recommended to to a clutch and flywheel if you're taking the trans out if it hasn't been done.

Sorry, ekimurn:

I contacted Valeo about the SM clutch conversion kit, and they told me directly that it is only for the R50/R53 Coopers. I have a 2008 Clubbie S, and the best price I found for the flywheel was at FCP Euro:https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/min...el-21207575069 That was the best price anywhere by far, and there's an additional discount available if you register. The best price on the Valeo clutch was at Rock Auto: https://www.dropbox.com/s/llr9dcawhr...32.32.png?dl=0

I've just replaced my clutch this month, and nkfry is 100% right - it is absolutely, positively not worth changing out one piece of the clutch/flywheel! Consider replacing the following:

1 - crankshaft rear main seal
2 - transmission input & output seals
3 - thermostat
4 - coolant pipe (water pump to thermostat)
5 - several of the torque-to-yield bolts & nuts supporting the transmission, suspension components, and subframe. They cannot be reused.

The coolant pipe is nigh-impossible to get to with the transmission and subframe in place, and by the time the clutch goes, it's certain to be toast as well (my thermostat crumbled at one of the fittings, and the pipe just snapped off at the o-ring at the water pump end. They are extremely brittle and on the verge of leaking by ~115,000 miles. All of these are very easy (and inexpensive) to do along with the clutch, IMO.
