2016 Clubman's limited color palette

We have a 2009 Clubman, Hot Chocolate over charcoal leather, with cold weather, nav, roof, xenon, etc etc. Fantastic car, nearing 50k miles and no issues.

We went to the dealer to look at the 2016 - love it. An All4 would be a suitable replacement for the 09.

But the color palette struck us as boring. None of the colors available are, to our eyes, special or particularly interesting. The signature color is kind of Merlot-y, which objectively we can appreciate is special, but not for us.

What to do? We are not going to buy from the current palette and hope it grows on you. That's what you do when you buy a beige Camry. Wait in hopes that 2017 brings more color to the palette?

Yea, either wait till 2017 when they change the colors up or have one full body wrapped to your liking.

Same here. I have been watching the F54 Clubman since the first rumors about it. I bought one of the first ones, been driving it about 2 weeks now.

But yeah, the colors choices suck. I wanted a COLOR but other than red, there just aren't any ... and I've had too many red cars (sez the wife).

So I bought Melting Silver (which is a little on the gray side actually) and am adding color via stripes and wheel center caps. That's my suggestion -- use an adaptable base color and accessorize (stripes? mirror caps? side scuttles? wheel caps? etc) to add the "pop".

Car colors are subject to current fads & fashions and unfortunately, many of the higher end makes seem to have the most limited range of colors -- sometimes it seems the game is to see how many shades of gray they can offer.

they just added to the configurator DIGITAL BLUE ... which is a very interesting light blue color. well suited to the Clubman.

The Digital Blues are in transit now haven't hit the USA dealers just yet.

Digital Blue is really nice and it's a new color for MINI and only on the Clubman.

I really like the Melting Silver - it's one of those paint colors that seems to change depending on lighting. Sometimes it's silver, sometimes it's a dark grey...

Cant wait to see it.
