Finally...it only took me 6 years!

This week has been quite the transition for my 2010 Cooper S Clubman. I've kept him mostly stock Cooper S for a long time, but I broke down this week and purchased the JCW Tuning Kit for the N14. On top of that, got the Cravenspeed Koala, Forge Inlet pipe, WMW Noisemaker delete and Hotchkins 25mm (hollow) rear swaybar. Like a whole new car. Can't wait to get the summer tires on.

Especially since its an automatic *GASP* . Its got a really strong powerband now. There's a dyno not too far away I might take it to. Had it carbon blasted as well. May do the Forge Intercooler and Coolant hoses too...I plan on keeping him for the long run, but having a bit of factory performance and a few aftermarket items thrown on sound good.

Pictures once it warms up here.

Thanks a nice combo, i really like my JCW door sill plates. You have to clean those sill very good before they stick on. JCW Clubman door sill plates.

Got the koala put on before I had the tuning done. Very noticeable difference. However, my tech took out the noise maker then and did a fly by night delete with parts from Home Depot. It had a very low rubly idle, but revved really quick.

Still waiting on some other parts to show up, then he should be quite the machine. Interestingly, I don't really notice a big change when in normal mode, its really only Sport mode.

The Koala dropped my gas mileage about 2mpg, but the Tune bumped t back up my previous mpg.

What kind of intake are you using with the Koala? And was there any space issues?

I am using the "stock" JCW tuning kit intake. I will look at something different down the road, but with the Koala, I'm not sure what will play nice with it.

I've had the JCW Engine Tuning Kit on my car since 2010. No regrets.

Well, splurged again. Got the intercooler and other silicone hoses put on finally. Also went ahead and purchased the NM adjustable sway bar links, front and rear (switched the rear sway bar to full racecar), H&R 27mm front sway bar (We'll see how that goes) Hotchkis Sport Upper and lower control arms/camber link and TSW X Brace. Will probably add some negative camber...not sure yet. Talking with my alignment guy to figure out what will be best.

Also in the process of switching out all the exterior lighting to LED from VLED and Morimoto. Nice and bright

And just ordered the white turn signal housing tail lights from ECS Tuning. Currently running 3 different looks (Front: white housing amber bulb, Side: Amber housing from base Cooper and white bulb, Rear: Amber housing Amber bulb). All nice and really bright, but not cohesive. Settling on the white housing, Amber bulb. No bulb lights or hyperflash and not running any resistors. Waiting on a different reverse bulb that's a 6K, should hopefully let people know I'm backing up while illuminating everything!

Thinking about running a 225/45/17 tire. found a run flat version of the Nokian I'm running on my Evo and they grip like crazy in the rain.

Well, everything is finally on. Alignment complete. Handles really well. Now I have a little bit of oversteer, which is pretty much what I was going for. Hopefully I can make the next Autocross in town, then we'll see how everything really does.

hey guys, for this noise maker delete, besides removing that big chunk of plastic and rubber hose in the engine bay, does it really do anything? I don't mind loosing the sound in the cabin, personally.

On my n14, mods are below, I see 15.9 psi of boost. When I had the stock intake and intercooler it was 13.9. It all helps out, the turbo muffler delete helped it spool quicker, lower engine mount helped put down the power to the wheels, intercooler cools the intake, that makes the fun turbo sounds along with the dv spacer, Alta spring helps it hood boost and not bounce around, and finally the noise maker delete gives you back the boost that lost from piping it in the car. It’s all one big symphony.

I just grabbed an NM air intake system which actually has that noice maker delete pipe in it, so I'll be finding out just how good it is tomorrow.
