Hi all!
I really want to get a dongle/wireless adapter and app for my MINI but I'm not sure where to start. I see a lot of talk about the BMWhat app but I don't see that app available in my iOS app store. The only app available seem to be the CarlyForBMW free and paid apps. Do these work just as well? I suspect the other app isn't available because I'm in Canada and we don't get all the same apps as everyone else.
Can anyone recommend an affordable adapter that will work with the Carly app? Or do I have to get the super expensive Carly adapter?
We have schwaben tool here if you dont want the app issues and its a interface that you will not have to worry about phone compatibility.
We just landed this Schwaben by Foxwell tool and it reads allot of things, I used it for ABS testing and it pulls and tells which side is bad. Also found allot of old stored codes for a dead battery in my R58 which is like a history lesson of the car, showed the faults in the climate control for the low battery. Unlike my Actron unit , which took a couple time, this read codes right of the bat. Pretty cool device and read much more. What it all preforms is listed in the Product Details on the item.

Does this device allow coding like the app? Like removing bulb checks?
The thing with apps is that they can be updated so they are constantly improving. If I buy an independent device I'm limited to what it can currently do.
Still looking for an affordable wireless adapter that works with the Carly app and iphone if anyone knows of one.

Does some coding on reprogramming factory modules. There will be more software updates in the future with this products, that you can update on your own to possibly code more. It makes a great scan tool , no doubt. Found allot of my old stored codes and hidden codes.
A little pricey though. Not quite what I'm looking for. Getting back to my original post, I'm looking for information about a wireless adapter that will work with the Carly app.

I did but I couldn't find anything :(
There were a few on Amazon.com but they don't ship to Canada. Amazon.ca doesn't have the same stuff :/
