2010 N14 hit 100,000 miles this weekend.
 

Our 2010 S 6 speed manual hit the 100k mark this weekend. I have replaced the following parts up to this point.

Thermostat Housing
OFH gaskets
Crankshaft seal & belt
Spark Plugs

I recently pulled the valve cover to inspect the timing chain guides and they look good. The timing chain tensioner has the dimple on the bolt head. The local MINI dealer told me they have no record of it being replaced by MINI, but the dimple indicated a newer version. There is no rattle at this point.

I removed the vacuum pump last summer to replace the o-ring that was leaking oil. While I had it off I disassemble it and it showed no signs of sludge or wear. The o-ring for the pump cover was leaking so I used a small amount of RTV on the o-ring and have had no oil leaks since.

Averaging 34 mpg with 70% highway driving and around 100 miles a day 5 days a week.

Thanks for posting this. I have the same MCS, but in a non-clubman. Same year, color combo, etc. Mine has 12,000 on the odometer and I drive it the same distance per day, about the same amount of hwy. I am also getting about 34avg mpg over this winter at an avg of 20 degrees and 68mph.

I've only had my Cooper about a month and have had no issues yet. Bought with 9,500 miles. Loving it!

Wow, that's really low mileage. We had a 2002 MINI non turbo before and sold it with 136k. It had really bad rust around the tail lights that was getting bad.

I just rolled over 100,000 miles in my 09 S. I have replaced a few things as well, but still love it. Going for a full detail in the spring to get the paint back to shine. I'd love a 2013/2014 JCW Clubman, but tough to find in Canada. I haven't seen the new generation in person yet, so no plans to trade it in.

Congrats, just rolled over 50K on the R58 and almost 255K on the R52.

Just for the record....I am a customer of both PP and ECS. My garage is full of BMW...and uh er Jeep. You guys do a good job for us diy'ers.

Thank you for your support and glad we could be of assistance to both your MINI and BMW. What Jeep do you have? I have a friend with a CJ that we would go rock climbing in all the time. It also had a Mustang V8 Cobra engine swapped into it. :lol::thumbsup:

New to the list, the CCV in the valve cover failed last night and the red diaphragm is missing. Need the MINI back on the road so reluctantly I bought a new one from the dealer today. There was only one in the Denver Metro area, but we only have 2 dealers. Now to figure out how to find the missing diaphragm. I say bad design that it can fail and fall into the engine!!!

How is it missing, its snaps into the bottom . Unless it came off and its on top of the engine cam ? Little bit bigger then the size of half dollar. Should be on top of the engine near the cams or to the side of the engine, unless it shredded it with the movement of the cams. :(\

Thanks. I did not see it any where on the top. No small pieces either. I am going to drop the oil pan this morning and see if I can find it. I can imagine the damage all the little pieces could cause if they block any of the small oil passages.

You are welcome. I would check for it , the oil drain passages are not that big. But it could have went down near the timing chain cavity and be in the bottom there.
