What year Clubmans are affected by the timing chain tensioner issue?
Hello all. I have done a little searching but am getting confusing information on the subject question. Can anybody clearly indicate what year Clubmans are affected by the timing chain tensioner issue? I have read that it affects 2008-2010 model years but I would like clarification? Also, if MINI resolved the problem, what was the fix? Did they just push the issue further down the road with a slightly more robust part or was the fix permanent?
Thanks for any info!

it's an issue on all years. The last updated tensioner as far as I can tell is august last year.
According to realoem.com the new standard size tensioner is 82 mm. The original one is 78mm. They're still trying to get it right. Unbelievable.

The latest part does seem to fix the issue (in the N14 design), and the N18 (2011-2014 Clubman) Turbo cars don't seem to suffer any where near the failures of the older design. The N18 engine has a totally different head that mid agates/solves many issues of the older N14 design (carbon buildup, PCV faults, oil consumption). Many of these cars are entering the 100K mile mark with no major failures of the past.
The N14 had several design fails with the old tensioner.. the tensioner itself would fall out or leak.. then the plastic used in the guides would fail (crack) and fall down into the oil pan - leaving the chain rattling and then skipping and blowing the motor..
