Has anyone compared the interior room (rear legroom, cargo space, etc.) of the new 4-door with the Clubman? I'm curious, and have not been able to find this anywhere.

 

The latest 4dr is definitely more spacious in everyway compared to our clubs. The new 2dr cargo space w/ seats up has 9cu ft while the club is at 9.3! If i remember correctly, the 4dr has 13cu ft. Basically, the new 2dr is relatively close to the club, and 4dr is just larger in every way possible.

 

But it's a 4 door and looks like a scaled down Countryman :(

 

And how does it compare to the current Countryman?

 

The Countryman is a big longer and has more interior volume due to the shape of the vehicle. The trunk in the Countryman is larger by about 3cu ft if i remember correctly. Personally, 4dr vs. Countryman comes down to personal preference since they're relatively close in dimensions.

 

I have a 5 door on order and was very concerned about the size. I regret that the new 4 door is 2.2 inches longer than my '08 Clubman and 1.7 inches wider. But it does have a good boost in interior space. From what I have seen:

I personally hate the countryman. The paceman looks ok I really like my clubman I think when I'm done with it I'll either go paceman or another preowned clubman.
