Here's what I'm gathering

I just bought a 10 clubman S here's what I've got so far If you take care of these cars they will take care of you. At some point later in its life you may have to throw a few grand at it like any other performance oriented cars am I missing anything?

You forgot that the car will put a smile on your face everyday.

Yea a little underpowered for my taste but nothing a few mild modifications won't fix. It is a blast to drive though.

We just bought an 09 R55 yesterday. We have a 2002 R50 with 137k and it has been a great little Mini. I replaced all of the ball joints, control arm bushings, struts and brakes this year. I did the work myself and the parts were about $800. that is the biggest expense I have had since owning it. The R50 does not drip or burn any oil and still averages 34 mpg combined driving.

If you think the S is underpowered then your other car better be a M3!

I had a Buick Regal turbo before but before that I had a 500hp 3000gt VR4. I think this car needs a little more power and it will be perfect. I absolutely love the car. I go tomorrow for my exhaust and I have a FMIC on the way then I need an intake and a tune and hopefully I'll be happy.

Yeah you are not correct. At least in my experience. I had an STi before my MINI and it had way way more power and way way less problems. I ended up taking a deer out with it though. We take care of our MINI and still have problems. We do all the recommended service, but change oil more often, don't use gas with ethanol and.... doesn't matter still has issues.

What kind of issues have you had with it? I'm a former subaru guy too had a leggy GT went through a turbo in that car almost needed a motor because of it too.
