Boot Aux Power

Hi All,

Has anyone replaced their Aux power socket in their boot? Mine has come undone and the ring that holds it in place is off. Do I need to remove the panel on the side of the trunk to reattach?

Thanks in advance

Yup, had mine apart. You'll be tempted to pop out the air vent and reach inside...

Only to find it won't pop back in place - because it's not supposed to be removed (YEY Mini.. :eyeroll; ). The sonic welded plastic explodes and breaks. I had to fab a metal bracket to retain it.

So yes, pull the entire rear panel.. Once it's out it's like a two second fix. Might be able just to pop the rear trim near the barn door and reach in.

Thanks Dan,

I tried for half hour without removing and gave up. I'll pull it tomorrow.
