What made you pick the Clubbie over other models?

I have an interview tomorrow, and while I am quite familiar with the hatchbacks, I'm not too up to speed on the other models. If you could please help me:

1. What made you choose the Clubbie over other models?
2. What trim did you choose (Justa, S, or JCW)?
3. Which options were most important to you?

THANK YOU! I would appreciate your help....

1) Drives like a hardtop but has useable rear seats
2) 2014 S
3) premium and winter package, Xenon headlights, black wheels

What kind of interview do you have, job interview?

Yep, job interview. To become an MA, my dream job believe it or not. I've done corporate finance for the last 10 years. So done with cubicles and spreadsheets...if i can be around MINIs and talk about MINIs all day? And help people track their babies. :-)

I currently have an R56, but am considering trading for a Clubman.

Number 1 reason is cargo room. That little bit of extra space would be perfect (plus the seats fold flat - they don't fold flat in the Paceman), but the car is still fairly small (though I feel like its huge compared to my Justa ) Its still pretty mini-ish though despite the larger size and as far as I hear, handles like a Justa.

1. 3rd door, rear seating room along with larger flexible cargo space than all other mini's.
2. I got the S model because the JCW model cost quite a bit more for the options I wanted.
3. Turbo, automatic, nav, leather seats, sunroof, hid headlamps.

Goodluck with your MINI interview!

1. I chose the Clubman because of the extra size. I have 2 little ones in booster seats, so the hardtop was out of the question. The Countryman and Paceman were to expensive for my used Mini price range. Plus, may be to big and gas mileage was important to me.

2. I chose the S because I had to get an automatic, my wife cannot drive a manual. If she could drive a manual I would of went with the regular nonturbo engine with the stick. Less to worry about on the non turbo engine and the stick makes the naturally aspirated engine fun.. But, with the extra horsepower of the S the automatic is a blast to drive.

3. Automatic, Bluetooth, Sun roof.

Clubbie

Wife thought MINI'S were cute first off. Then I found a Hot Chocolate 2011 S and she feel in love with the whole design, especially the barn doors in the back. She's only 4' 11". I drove it a few times and decided I wanted a MINI too. Sold my Mercedes and ordered a 2013 JCW Hardtop. Took delivery 3/8/2013, and it's been happy motoring for both of us since.

She likes the Clubbie so well she now wants the F54 4 door when it comes out next year. She wanted to make sure it still had the barn doors though! lol.

My golf bag fits in the clubman straight in the back without going sideways or pushing the passenger seat forward.

If you test drive, make sure you engage the sport button.

1)The hardtop, convertible and roadster were too impractical as a daily driver because there is no storage space. The Countryman was underpowered for me, so that left the clubbie.

2) I went with the "S" because the justa was a slug and the JCW didnt seem like a good value to me, also reliability was an issue.

3) from most important to least, performance, exterior styling, interior styling, and electronic gizmos are way last on my list......I optioned my clubby with sport suspension, xenons, colorline and black rims.

1. Wagon style! It was close to my ideal dream car. Clubman still have Mini identity with unique style and roomier.

2. I have 2010 Justa.

3. Manual Transmission, Heating seat, Xenon light (which i don have), and USB port for the
music.

1. Had a Hardtop which had gotten submerged during Hurricane Sandy. Sat in a Clubman and it had a better fit.

2. Justa Cooper

3. Manual trans, seat heater, Mini Connected/Nav (I wish I had this), sunroof. Next time will be turbo.

I loved my Justa Hardtop amd love my Justa Clubman even better. I swapped out the 15" wheels for 17" wheels and it looks and rides better.

I know I am late to the discussion (too late for the interview), but here are my answers anyway.

1. What made you choose the Clubbie over other models?
a. room - people fit in the back seat and there is room for stuff.
b. in the "unique" brand - it is unique.
c. I actually thought it handled a bit better.
2. What trim did you choose (Justa, S, or JCW)?
S - Considering how I drive - its a lot more fun to drive.
3. Which options were most important to you?
I bought mine '11 clubman used -- in part because it had the options I liked. Included were sun roof, audio upgrade, heated seats, auto-climate control And, most important -- manual!!

It's gotta be those quirky ambulance doors! Well that and the JCW package.
