Revisit annoying seat belt chime, TUNE OFF?

I hate the seat belt chime in my 09 Clubman. I want to put the seat belt on when I want, not right away at times. With that it seems there are some odd combination of time/speed/opening door then closing that shuts it off.
Any insight?

I used NCS Expert to recode to module to not chime EVER. It was annoying, I'd be parked doing stuff with the car running and it's chiming at me. Ugh!

Even simpler, there is a item that fits in the seatbelt latch that takes care of it. I use it on my passenger seat. In my Countryman, if my phone is plugged into charge and I set it on the seat... It actually sets off the chime.

We are able to code it off if you are at a MINI event we attend. Or we offer the Chimex, but you have to take it out to plug in your belt.

Seatbelt enforcement is getting stricter and stricter. Tickets are being written to scoffers driving thru parking lots. I asked local LEOs, if the car is in motion and the belt isn't on - ticket - no discussion. Around here seatbelt tickets are pretty danged expensive. Money that could be spent on MINI stuff.
