300whp isnt gonna happen on an S without major engine reworking and bigger turbo. You should talk to czar about it.

My goal is to get as close to that as possible. Nothing more. It's a FWD car so it's not a racecar. I have a new turbo on the way from FrankenTurbo and will shortly be installing a water/meth kit. Obviously with corresponding mods such as straight pipe from the turbo back, FMIC, mounts all around, custom RMW tune etc. if need be ill do more modding. Thanks for your input.

I hope that modding will include head work. You are going to need to do alot of internal work before the engine will handle that new load, and even then, I am not sure it will. I don't mean to discourage you, I just think you should look at what others have tried to do on this forum and learn from them what has happend. Lots of popped engines.

I'm putting on simple bolt ons that many users have used. Water meth will be fine. Even on stock parts. It's even a good starting mod, plus the turbo is just your basic k03/k04 hybrid. I really don't think head work is needed or internals.

I apologize I'm not trying to argue my point I just don't see the need to do as much as you think I do. My turbo is basically a ko3 case with ko4 internals. It'll push more but nothing crazy. Meth will give power for sure, but won't be over the top especially with its assists to the motor temp wise. The front mount is always a huge help on turboed cars and same with the exhaust and tune. So maybe it'll do 300 at he crank. Maybe 285 at the crank. That motor can handle it. 300+ yes you'll start seeing issues greatly. But I'm also not taking the car to the track and redlining it daily. I mean it's on air, meant to be as low to the ground as possible. The power thing is just for fun on the side. I truly don't believe it'll be an issue.

January Update

The new snail is on it's way as well as new gaskets for the intake manifold for when I clean out the ports. I also ordered a set of Alta V2 front end links so I can FINALLY install my sway bar... Car can't put all it's power down smoothly without it and it's just awful. Pics will follow later this week when I receive the goods.

I can't recall, did you install an LSD? That is going to help you the most with traction. That is my next mod. I will be doing it when my clutch goes out. Gonna go with Gilken clutch and LSD

I have the LSD from factory. I can tell a great difference in my car vs, my friends R56 without it. What makes you want to go with the Gilken clutch over say a CM etc? I will probably need to look at this in the near future.

Isn't that flange kind of rough? Not sure if it matters -- just asking.

No the picture makes it look rough. It's actually fairly smooth. But don't know if it should be rough or not for mounting purposes.

Hmmm yeah I wonder. Ill look into it though thanks!

I would like input on someone to tune my car. I need to use them from the baseline through the install and with corresponding mods all the way up to meth. ALTA and RMW are out. Any other suggestions?

Why not AWE near Philly? You must know who they are from your VAG days. They treated me right when I had my GTI. They may not be mini specific but I feel like they know their stuff.

Can you use the "Stage 4" tune from ALTA? They use that map with their billet turbo. Isn't it basically the same thing (K03 with K04 internals)?

I looked at that but I don't think they can run off my dyno to make a specific tune, and they also can't tune for meth. Which is very close after install.

I'm looking into getting a subwoofer fitted in the spare wheel well on the clubman and wondered how you built the box? What sort of shape did you go for? Pics of the box itself would be good. Thanks

I actually didn't build the box. I bought it off ebay for really cheap. It's just a shallow box for the shallow mount series subs. So I have a 10" Rockford. Fits perfectly on the in between shelf in the clubman since my air setup is in the spare tire well. I can get pics still if you want.
