Vibration and drone between 57- 63 mph HELP!

I have a 2010 Clubman s with 18k miles on it. The tires are non- run flats and less than 10k. Recently rotated and balanced. Problem was before AND after the rotation/balance.

Here is the problem, when I get to between 58mph and 63 mph, there is a light but noticeable drone type of sounds like a hum that comes from the wheels up through the gas pedal and steering column. Not only is this slight sound annoying, but it does not occur when I am in a strong turn (only very pronounced in straightaways). It does not correlate to wheel turn, BUT does repeat with slight interval. It is not coming from the exhaust.
Its almost like the series of speed bumps you feel when you approach a toll booth on the Turnpike (but much obviously much lighter) - sound, pause, sound, pause, etc...

Man its driving me nuts and I have no idea what it could be.
It doesnt occur at lower or higher speeds.

Could it be something wrong in the suspension?

This is killin me- Any help would be appreciated!!

does it do it on all road surfaces???
I get some vibration and excessive road noise depending on the surface, but then it goes away totally on a nice smooth road.....

good luck that's a tough one

Not sure what you mean bu a "lip" on the rotors. I do know that the rotors and brakes need replacing (accoirding to the mechanic that rotated and balnced the tires). But, not sure how the rotor would have an effect on noise -especially only between 57- 63 mph??

I had a similar noise in my car that turned out to be coming from the brakes..went through hell trying to figure it out..recorded the sound , video made of the noise while driving, trying to duplicate for technician, etc..Apparently the brake Pad rubs on the lip of the rotor.. a known problem diagnosed by the BMW mechanics..I had a bevel grinded onto the edge of the pads and the noise went away...Hope that is all it is for you as well.

I have the same issue with my R56 S. Right around 62~63mph the vibration kicks in. Had the wheels, bearings and brakes checked out and all was fine. I guess I'll have to look into this bevelled pad thing now too.
