Made an appointment with my dealer for my engine noise
I know the cold start issue is alive and well here at NAM, but since I bought my '08 Clubman S 2 months ago it looks like I need to put my "nieve hat" on and ask my dealer to look into what's wrong with my car.
Over the phone my service rep said it could be low oil (already checked that), nope, or timing chain issues (could be).
What bothers me is that it's a cold start issue and it isn't like much changes in the engine physically in the first few minutes. To me it's an oil starvation issue and that sucks!
I'm still under my factory warrantee, so we'll see where this ride takes me.

I've been hearing what sounds like the old Chevrolets I had. For those antiques (1948, 1957 with 235 c.i. 6 cyl.) it was the tappets not getting oil for awhile. Sometimes it sounds like a diesel. I'll check in to see what you find out.
