Hi guys,
It's been a while since I posted on a Mini forum since I sold my 2006 Cooper S a couple of years ago because my family was growing. Needless to say, I regret selling it every day. Had a couple of other cars including Nissan and Audi. Still hoping for a Mini.
Well, today I saw at a used car dealer this:
2009 Clubman non S
25,000 miles
automatic trans
chilli red with black roof
basic 15 wheels
no options other than really basic base model
no apparent body damage (looked at hinges and everywhere else)
Test drove it. Suspension was still tight w/o noises.
Shifted well.
Still dissapointed it wasn't a Clubman S.
Here in Puerto Rico prices are really high for any car compared from mainland US and a new Clubman S that I configured at the dealership was 32,000 and have to wait for it because they don't any clubman in stock
Any concerns I might have with this year model? Has 22 months and 25000 miles left on the warranty but the dealer is a 2 hour drive. Want to know what to look for. I've searched all over for a used 2009+ Clubman and can't find one with low mileage.
I will appreciate any help.

Previous history and ANY service records would be helpful.
Make sure there's no build-up or sludging underneath the oil cap, and on the dipstick.
Many owners have pushed the factory oil service recommendations (which are TOO long to begin with) and have over-cooked critical engine parts.

I have a 09 clubman that sounds pretty similar to the one you're looking at except mine has the premium and cold packages. I've got 18,000 miles on it with no issues so far. NonS just means you are going to like to use the manual shift feature a little more when you are driving enthusiastically.
