R55 Strange noise when opening door

Strange noise when opening door
The driver's side door is making a strange "popping" sound when fully extended. Anybody had this problem? can you diagnose it?

Check that the sprung door check bolts are secure at the frame: they might have worked their way loose.

Little Wing's driver's side door is making the exact same noise and it just started today.

That solved the problem -

My husband had to go through a variety of tools before he found something to fit that star bolt.

I guess that will be a new maintenance habit -
Tighten the door bolt every 3rd windshield.

yep, the bolt is loose. But I don't have a wrench to fit it.

Oh no...I will ask my husband what he used.
He tried out a lot of different wrenches before he found on that fit.
