Club door won't close

i've heard of the club doors not opening, but my club door won't close. i was washing the car and after drying the exterior opened the doors to dry the sills, and when i tried to close it, the door wasn't having any of it. The bottom latch looks like it's in the locked position and won"t move. i've tried all kinds of different locking- unlocking techniques, but none of which work. im thinking broken cable but who knows. curious if this has happened to anyone. the end result is i have to leave both my passenger and club door open (obviousily) because the club door won't close. im hoping at there expense they will flatbed the car to the dealer as i don't want to drive with someone clutching both doors closed, as im presuming that has to be illegal in some way or another.

If either of the latches is in the closed/locked position you should be able to stic a screw diver thru the opening in it where the rod would normally be and while pulling on the handle set it to the ope position. Then try the door again. If the problem persists then there is definitely something wrong. Otherwise it may have just been an accident while you where cleaning the car.

naturally the one thing i didn't try was that, i had put a screwdriver in the latch and was pulled it a bit, but was so frustrated yesterday night that pulling the handle didn't pop into my mind, cheers and thanks again
