I wish I had time and room in my life for a dog. If I could, I'd get a beagle or a husky if space was available.

This is my latest addition. So far she has only been in the Clubman once. I bought a Cube for the taller Greyhounds and I was waiting for Dixie to be totally trained before letting her loose in the Clubbie.
I found Dixie from a local rescue group after losing my 8th Doberman at only 4-1/2 in October. King Henry the 8th was my last Doberman as I have lost 6 of the 8 at very young ages.
Dixie looks very much like Henry did as a pup so she has helped with the transition, but I will always miss my King.
I'll try to get a nice photo of Dixie in Otto when we have nice weather again. She does love to ride.
The other photo is with Rush, the tripod Grey pup. They are constant companions.

Halibut03: Is she a golden-doodle (part poodle?)

I love how it looks like she's looking at her reflection... nice wax job

I love all the dog pictures! For any of you who are using the poochstyle or OEM cargo area mats, I have a question. With the back seats down, and the mat attached to the back of the front seats, what happens to the empty space in between front and back seats? Does the mat attach firmly enough that it creates a hammock effect? My dog weighs almost 100 pounds, and I'm wondering if the invisible trough will freak him out when he steps on that part of the cover. (I'm assuming the padding is not rigid enough to create a floor there, but that would be cool.)

Thanks in advance for any input; I just got my Clubbie on Saturday, and would love to give Skye a ride without messing up the new car!

So sorry about King Henry cloud10. No matter how many times you go through it, it seems like it's always heartbreaking!

On a happier note though, Dixie looks like a great addition to your clan! Hope you have many good Motoring miles with them her!

Hey, does anyone have experience with a large dog in a Cooper (not Clubman)? Will they fit in the back seat and/or boot with seats down? I'm thinking of getting a new dog finally (Akita) but I don't want to get rid of the Mini!

My old one comfortably fit in the back seat of my Maxima, but it was a 4-door so access was pretty easy.

We have an '09 Cooper and an '08 Clubman. We also have a Boxer and a German Shepherd Dog. While the dogs love the clubman they fit comfortably with room to move around in the Cooper. We actually took both dogs in our then '06 Cooper from Ohio to Maine (granted the GSD was only 6 months old) with luggage. The dogs were a little cramped but not uncomfortably so. So the answer to your question. Yes an Akita will fit with lots of room.

Thanks! Sammie (the Boxer) loves to wear her winter coat and Vesper (the GSD) loves to wear her backpack since she knows we are taking them hiking when it's put on her. She carries all of her own doggie stuff... Yep the GSD is named Vesper after the Vesper Martini/Bond girl in Casino Royale. Her registered name is Sammie's Shaken not Stirred.

Yay! I love love love the name Vesper (which actually means evening star, I've heard, too) and it sounds silly but I have wanted to name my first born girl that...although hubby vetoed it because it sounds too much like "vespa."
And it wouldn't hurt to be named after a bond girl, much. (loved Vesper Lind in Casino Royale.)

lol

anywho, sorry to hijack the thread kinda...

It is with very sad news that I revive this thread. Christie my dog of 14 years has passsed away. Tudeday At approximately 11:30PM i rushed her to the emergnecy room as she was very bloated. The doctor told us that her stomach had turned and that we had two options. Very painful surgery with a long and painful recovery (if whe made it thru the surgery) or to put her to sleep. It was a very sad moment in making the decision to assister in passing, but we could not put her thru the pain of surgery and recovery. She has had a great life and we will miss her very much.

Her is the last picture of her taken while riding in "her" CLubman. The picture was taken on our way back from MINI's On Top this past weekend.

Christie We Will Miss You

Boy if that's the Cooper Vineyard in VA, you are a lucky person!! I love their port and get a couple of bottles each time I find an excuse to go by, of course the bottles only last a week or two but it is soooo goood!

Where do us dog loving (PWB X3) convertible owners get our "Official" show us your dogs thread? (Not that I let my three wild ones even close to the leather seats).
