Max's first mod
I wanted something to offset all the blue at the front of the car and to balance the silver trim at the rear...............whadya think?
No, I'm not the first to do this, but I may be the first to do it in silver........... http://carnuts.us/forum/download/file.php?id=749 http://carnuts.us/forum/download/file.php?id=750 http://carnuts.us/forum/download/file.php?id=751 |
looks like your primered and ready for paint!
yeah im sarcastic |
I like it! Is that painted, or is that a vinyl overlay? Very cool either way!
|
I did the same thing in black to make the Clubman look shorter lengthwise. I'm almost tempted to undo it though cause it looks weird after a while(especially if you look it from across the parking lot). That's just me though. :P

Cause you were the inspiration for mine! I think I'm gonna like it......... It's a vinyl overlay, so it's un-doable..... |

That's the cool thing about vinyl, able to change it easily :D I think yours work out better because the silver separates itself from the arches and side skirts. My black A panels continues into the black trim and it seems off. x.X |
I think it looks great!
I think that you should carry the silver up the w/s pillars as well to really balance it out! Just sumthing to say hmmmmmm??? http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l.../IMG_0285R.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l.../IMG_0286R.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l.../IMG_0287R.jpg |
Hey Saturn, thanks for doing the photochop of the A-pillars, it gives me something to ponder, but I think I'll leave it for now........
Actually, I was thinking about going the other way and painting the C pillars black to match the front. Wanna do me a chop that way to see what it looks like? |

This is the only photo that you can see the pillars clearly in. Send me some shots of the back and I can Photoshop them black if you wanna get a better idea. |
LOOKS GREAT!!
But my .02 are paint the arches SILVER and the rear pillars black.....You should shop it SATURN  |

.. http://carnuts.us/forum/download/file.php?id=751[/quote] I like the idea, however I would also do the 'A' pillars in silver. |
Silver arches and trim might look good with a silver roof, but I think I'd leave them black. I don't want too much silver, just enough to balance all that blue with the silver in the back.
As it is, it kinda reminds me of the Audi R8's "blade" ......... Thanks for doing the C pillars, Saturn. I'll give that some thought. I'm told they're easy to remove so it would be easy to paint them if I decide to do so.... Saturn, are you going on the chocolate run next Sat? |
