R55 205/50/17 vs. 205/45/17
205/50/17 vs. 205/45/17
Pros vs Cons?
Does the extra cm(50) really make a difference on those bumpy roads? Saving some stress on your mini? Smoother ride and better handling? Not really look that much thicker than a 45....?
I would like some help and feedback being I need to decide in a day or two what i wanna do?
Pictures of the two on a clubbie would be nice to see to for a good visual...Thanks guys hope you can help.

Not directly responsive, when I was in your situation but with 16", I went with 205/55 instead of the closer-to-stock-circumference 205/50, for the same reasons as you postulate. If I had it to do over again, I think I would go with the lower profile, i.e. 205/50-16.
Hmmm....
205/50/17's anyone?
No problem. You should see the wheel gap with the new TSW's on. Mmmm... delicious. I'll post pics of it once they settle some more.
Oh... and FYI, going to a 205/50 is going to mess with your speedo, mileage (in a good way), and odometer.

You're best off with the 205/45. They'll still be nice and comfy without looking too balloony , raising ride height, and throwing off the speedo/gearing.
