Boot door won't open
As far as I can tell, by searching on the problem, this may be a new twist on boot door problems................
Tuesday morning my driver's side boot door refused to open. Whenever I squeeze the switch in the handle there is no response. The door is acting as if the right side is still closed. I know the "Club Door" has an interlock button at the bottom, but the boot door does not. I have not been able to find any interlock device.:sly: I have placed an on-line service request for this problem (Now I'll have to wait to see if they reply). The door is not a major problem. I can still access the boot with minimum inconvenience. However I am taking the "GHOST" to Florida in 10 days to show him off to family. (what a bummer it will be if he's not perfect" |
Unlike the Club door, the rear doors are unfortunately electronically controlled. I had to remove the handles in the rear when the rear stripes were installed and noticed this. Anyways, I would assume that it is the wiring instead of a faulty mechanism. Either way, the dealer should take care of it.

I have a confirmed appointment for Monday morning. (Dang! That internet reservation stuff actually worked. ) Now I hope it is an easy fix.

I got the door fixed without any problem. They reported that the connections were corroded, replaced the wiring in the door and sealed all of the connections. While they were working, they noticed condensation in the third brake light and replace that too. Also of note, there was a nail in my left rear RFT and that got replaced along with a rotate and balance.
I had to pay for the tire. |
Glad you got The Ghost fixed up for her visit south. Sorry to hear about that nail and having to replace the tire. Have a great trip and take some February "weather" shots for Parkerton's monthly photo contest!

The trip went well. It was colder in Fla than it is here now. I'll do a "Road Trip Log" when time permits. My hard drive crashed just before the trip:roll: and I'm in the process of recovering what I can, so a lengthy dissertation will have to wait.
