Anyone else anoying their spouse with MINI talk?

I have never felt the way I feel about my MINI before -- it just keeps getting better! I love it and almost every day I tell my husband. Yesterday he said, "please don't tell me how much you love your MINI anymore."

I guess I'd better get him one so he can understand

No wife to annoy as of yet so right now the immediate family gets the brunt of it.

My wife and I enjoy talking to each other about our mini, we just annoy members of our family.

I'm pretty sure my MINI ramblings have numbed my wife and kids. Too bad!

After 33 years of marriage my wife is finally interested in my car craziness, we both have Mini's. She is not as crazy as I am but she now understands it. She has even started doing Mods to her Mini. Funny, on my other cars she could never understand why I would want to change anything.

I've been slowly driving my wife crazy with all of my talk about what colour to get, what interior, etc... I finally ordered a Clubman S last weekend, so I think she's glad she won't have to hear about what kind I want...

When I get it--and let her drive it--either she'll join me in talking about how great it is, or I'll slowly drive her nuts all over again!!!

Only since May '06 for me. She is starting to talk about how she might want to get a Mini though. Leaves me with mixed feelings about how long I want her '04 Toyota van to last.

This thread is hilarious...originally, I was in the market for a Civic Hybrid back when gas was like $4.50 a gallon...I never even thought about a MINI. When my wife found that I was serious about the Civic, she STRONGLY let it be known that she didn't want a "Civic" in the household. So I started my search for more "interesting" alternatives...now having the Clubman and hearing how much I talk about it, she's tired of it and has said on more than one occasion...now I wish you got that Civic.

Lucky for me mine doesn't drive, so I'm her daily pilot, and I don't have to worry that she might want a MINI! Two would be nice, but I can only drive one at a time!!

My Hubby understands it and is worse than me when it comes to his Shelby GT500. He still enjoys the Mini as well.

Yeah, my husband doesn't get it and calls it my MINIcult . He joked that while I was waiting for my car and calling into ASKMINI that surely Dr. Phil must have been on the other line. Perhaps we need to start a support group for our family and friends .

My SO is faster than me in her MINI, on the track and on the Dragon. She is more obsessed than I am!

After 25+years, just about everything out of spouses mouths is annoying! LOL Except the 'I Love You' part! You DO have to listen for that one, though! :D The art of selective hearing is obfuscating the broadness of your acknowledgements..timing is crucial!

I got mine in July and my husband is amazed that I am still so enthralled by it. Little does he know that I have to have my "Mini Fix" and go for a drive every day!

I thought that was very funny. I found my spouse to tell her about it and during the setup including the name of the thread, all I got was 'the look'. Almost didn't make it to the punch line. Now, that was funny.
