From MCSconv't to Clubman

I'm thinking of trading in my MCSc for a new Clubman... I really love the MCSc handling and ride and of coarse the rag top , but the MPG and the limited space are getting me thinking about the Clubman... so if any of you went from MCSc to Clubman please give me some advice in what I'll be missing... I'll miss the rag top but the full moonroof on the Clubman seems like it can fill a little void...

I had fun playing in a cabrio at MTTS in Boston this summer and if I could afford it, I'd have both! It was so much fun, and I loved the noise of the exhaust with the top down.

I think you'll know what you'll be missing. It's like giving up partying with your friends to spend your nights with your spouse. It's still fun, but it's a more mature kind of fun.

Tim, I am hoping your wife isn't going to be reading that remark!

Never owned an MCS convertible, but I've driven my friend's a bunch in beautiful weather - and it doesn't get much better, I don't think. The Clubman is a great drive, the only thing you'll miss is that rag top - when it's down...however,when it has to be up , I think it is is a completely different story...then, I don't think it's a great option.

Go for a test drive with the sunroof and see how you like it. Test drive both the S and non S on some good roads.

Our Clubbie was parked next to a Mini Cabrio at a car show a couple of months ago...I felt sorry for them. We had two big suitcases, big cooler, chairs, Club gear etc. loaded in the boot...with the seats up! I think they had a couple of chairs, small carryon type bag and that was it...stowed in the back seat. They have absolutely no room in them with top down for traveling. Another guy w/cabrio brought it on a trailer because he didn't have any room for their stuff!
