Pictures of 08 Roof "Rack" and 09 Roof "Rail"
Guys,
I am really confuse about all these threads regarding roof rail/rack
Is the 08 Roof "Rack" (similar to all BMW)?
Is the 09 Roof "Rail" (like Honda CR-V and Toyotal RAV4)?
If I have an 08 Clubman S, can I retrofitted to the 09 rail option or I am stuck with the 08 rack option?
I think picture worth a thousand words
Didn't see any difference in the MINI USA site.
Thanks

I will take pictures of the "Roof Rails" on my BMW to show you what the rails on the Mini will look like and you can look in my gallery for photos of the "Rack" on my Mini

As for pictures Here they are.
Mini with "Roof Rack" The "Rack" only goes from left to right and sits in slots just above the rain gutter.
BMW Roof Rail, of course the mini ones will not look exactly like this but are supposed to be very similar in design. BTW i have Yakima feet and racks mounter to this car right now (okay most of the time since they are so hard to get on and off)
From the side. The "Rail" runs from front to back only there are not cross bars like you find on american SUV's, Toyota Mini Vans, etc. Only add on cross bars are available OEM or Aftermarket.
From the back
From the front. The foot you see here wraps around the top outside and underneath the "Rail" and has a clamp piece that locks up against the inside edge of the "Rail"
If anyone has questions please feel free to ask

07PepperS, you need to do a search on "bicyles", but I don't recall anyone posting photos of theirs inside... You did mean inside, even though you posted on this thread?
