Looking for a donut spare wheel/tire, what manufacturer's spare will fit?

I am switching to a non runflat tire and would like to get a donut spare, does anyone know what other brand spare will fit? Here what I heard from NAM member so far:

Honda Civic
Mazda Maita
Chery Cobalt
Ford Taraus

All at 4x100, What else?

I looked into those as well being the same bolt pattern, but most of them were on a 14" rim. I purchased an actual Cooper spare out of a junkyard (on a 15" rim) for $50. If you have an S, even the 15" will not clear the front brake calipers and you will have to swap a rear wheel to the front and put the spare on the rear.

Just food for thought.

i picked up a honda 15" space saver spare but had to take my drill and sanding drum and take a small amount out of the center hub to fit my S. a tire cover to protect the interior and it fits neatly behind one of the seats, or you can strap it down X style from the rear seat headrests to the tie downs.

To tell you the truth I just went to the parts counter at Mini, and had them order me one. My brother said I should go to a junk yard and find a cooper and buy it there.

Good luck with your serch,
Larry

I'm in the same boat. I'm getting rid of the run flats, just alone for the replacement costs. My MA told me that he called Town Fair Tire down the rode and they said to swing by. I guess they claim the can measure and fit me with a spare tire. I want one that can fit in the same location as the non S. I'm ok if the donut will not fit over the front tire and I need to swap 2 sets to replace a flat. As long as the donut fits in the trunk and is not visible it's good for me.

I'll post an update here one I get my S (hopefully end of July)

I bought one from a Civic off Craigslist and it didn't fit ...it dragged on the calipers (front and rear).

Back to the search...

Did we figure out what parts are needed for "factory" install of the donut?

I would guess the retaining bolt and a different foam insert for the jack / tools would be helpful.
