My Chili Red Clubbie!

Have had her for almost 2 weeks. Love every minute of it. Gotta take her in on Thursday to have some paint work fixed by the Dealer, and to have my steering wheel centered. (it is turned to the left some when going straight)

Thanks Larry!

Hasn't started out as well as I had hoped, got a rattle under the hood but the Dealer seems to want to make it right. They have been great so far and the car does have 87,000 miles on it! I just want it back, I haven't owned a car this much fun since I was a kid!

Thanks for the welcome. The site is full of info, some of it scary!

Safe miles to you!

Gerry

Busy motoring. And deciding maybe heated seats are pretty nice, after all.

Recently joined the club...

I was going to purchase the driving lights next untill I read the install costs so next up are the JCW side skirts. Have been really enjoying the car so far, nice change coming off two previous Mitsubishis.

Anyone else having troubles with their chili red paint?

I have a 2012 chili red Mini Cooper Clubman that I love but the paint seems to be effected by everything. First off, I wash the car all the time and have had a sealant put on it which does help. Oh and second off, from a distance my car looks perfect and is the shiniest MINI on the block but if you look closely (and I mean closer than anyone else would look at the car) you can see little small dots in the clear coat. A bird pooped on my car, I washed it off that day, and you can still see an etching. I have to wipe off the water drops when it rains as so it doesn't make marks. I don't remember any other car with such sensitive paint. Well the MINI's do have personality, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised my MINI has sensitive skin. Anyone else having troubles with their MINI Cooper's paint?

No issues yet that I've noticed. Will keep my eye out though. It was recommended to get a "clearbra" for the front end.

I've been a Chili Red R56 owner for three years, but I've had my Clubby for just over a month and I'm loving it so much.

Hello,

My name is Bob, just picked up my new (to me) 2010 Mini Cooper S Clubman. I love the car so far! It's got the sport package, cold weather package, manual, and so on. I'm coming from Audi, I just sold my beloved A4 1.8TQM, and this Clubman seems to be a fitting replacement.

Anyway, pictures. Also, if anyone knows the specs of the wheels currently on the car, could you fill me in?

Future plans include a roof rack for bikes, and summer wheels. Looking at 17x7 et40ish with 225/45r17 tires on stock sport suspension, should I expect any interferrence? Reason for the large tires is they are left over from autocrossing the Audi.

I'm in the Club. I've had my 2013 Clubman S for about 5 weeks. Love it Here's a pic of when I brought her home from Brecht Mini in San Diego County.

And gave her a nice wax and cleaning today. First took her to the car wash, and it was dirtier than when they started. But I made them keep washing her.

Then when I got her home, I waxed her, armor alled her, and then did the windows.
