I just opened the mats the dealer mailed me and they say R56 on them.

Should the Clubman's be larger?

I haven't looked at the rear mats for lettering but...
My FRONT MATS have "CLUBMAN" stitched on them, facing the door.
(for you, I just went and checked the rear mats, which have NO lettering.)

I say take them back and make them give you the correct set.

 

Are you saying they don't fit, and are too small?

 

I am running R56 mats in our Clubman. The fronts are a perfect fit but the rears are a tad short. They work for me since we had no mats in the back at all and I got quite a deal on Ebay for them...so I'll live with them.

 

The R55 (Clubman) rear mats are a snug fit but I've never tried using R56 ones. So I don't think RaceFace has the right ones - but if they're good enough and were cheap ... !

 

I know when I was ordering mine there was a choice between clubman rears and r56 rears. I'd assume the clubman ones are slightly larger.

Of course, the clubman ones were sold out....so I don't know what they look like or how they fit yet

 

Someone have an answer for sure?

Yes the clubman rear matts are different then the R56. The R56 are too short.

I originally got R56 rear matts too and had to get the correct ones.

My former MINI was a first generation so I wasn't sure if the R56 mats were larger - but now we know.

Don't most people get the carpet Clubman mats as part of the normal package? Or are we talking about rubber mats in this thread? I have both, but did not have to pay for the carpet ones...and thankfully my MA gave me the rubber ones.

 

When I picked up my Clubman last April the dealer threw in a carpeted front/rear set. With the manual trans my shoe bottom was catching on the front lip where there is a seam, so two weeks ago I ordered the rubber mats (much better by the way).

The dealer gave me the R56 fronts which are the same but had to special order the R55 rears to match, which I am still waiting for. Definitely a different part number, and now I'm thinking probably back-ordered or not yet produced? Let you know when I get them.

 

It seems that a large majority of clubman parts are still back-ordered or on a long delay. I had the same response for rear carpets as well as a rear clubman bumper piece and a few other model specific parts...and I know some other people were having trouble getting clubman accessories . It may be due to the fact that it's still a very new car compared to the other models.
