newbie with questions

greetings everyone! this is my first post and im a proud owner of a mini clubman laser blue. ive went with the silver roof but ive always wanted a white roof and white bonnet stripes. so my question is should i have the roof painted white or go vinyl. ive only find out vinyl thru this forum and i have no idea about it. i saw an ad by aesthetic creations. do they install the vinyl or just buy it from them and were installing it. another question is with the powder coating on rims. im still having second thoughts if to go all black or go white. the white will match with the pending white roof but the black will give it a good contrast and mean looking. i hope you guys will have some answers. thanks in advnce.

Why not just get it painted at a good body shop?

Vinyl is definitely an option if you think you may want to change your mind at some point... AC typically send you the vinyl. You can install it yourself or have a shop do it. If you're going for plain white, then I would just find a local shop and have them do it. I ordered and installed stripes from AC and it was easy. I think I'd pass on doing a roof myself.

As for wheels-- I thought about getting white wheels, and the brake dust is out of control! I didn't feel up to the maintenance required for white wheel.

I agree with staying away from white wheels. They would be white for about five minutes. And if the vinyl looks good - I like that idea as well - You may not like the white after a while - Take it off and you've got a new car!

you know, I never liked the silver roof when it originally came out a few years ago on the Coupe ... but I love it now ... maybe because I had a silver car in the interim

give the silver a chance before you go out and paint it and cover it up.

thanks for the reply guys. i think i would go vinyl but just thinking about the install its already giving me nightmares. i checked the website of AC and they were cool. any idea which kind of shop to go to install the vinyl? i also know having white wheels is just hard to maintain. but we'll see. my priority right now is have the windows tinted and white vinyl for the roof and bonnet stripes. keep on giving me ideas. thanks again.
