R55 Real world gas mileage on a "briskly" driven Clubman?
I wish I could get as good as reported here.....
I went on vacation this Christmas and averaged 34Mpg
but had cruise set to 78Mph with 4 suitcases 2 adults
and using 92 Octane Brand name gas.
Is that considered good?
I was hoping for at least 36-38Mpg ;(

The Bean gets an avg of 28.43 on 10 tanks since birth.
329 miles 12.313 gal 26.6 mpg
307 miles 12.155 gal 25.3 mpg
355 miles 12.376 gal 28.7 mpg
209 miles 7.045 gal 29.7 mpg
410 miles 12.54 gal 32.7 mpg
343 miles 12.911 gal 26.6 mpg
333 miles 11.09 gal 30 mpg
341 miles 12.18 gal 28 mpg
372 miles 12.463 gal 29.8 mpg
281 miles 10.425 gal 27 mpg
Mostly easy highway (70%) no traffic commute 17 miles down 270 sometimes with cruise control on. Little jaunts around gaithersburg suburban area. Big 32.7 was fast highway trip to Philly with some hard driving around the area. Car has just over 3300 miles since early October. Mostly hight test petrol, one tank of low grade. Do not over indulge in lead foot but like to have fun. Hope this helps anyone.

Mileage in UK
Made my first road-trip this past weekend; Ely to Cosford (near Birmingham), then to Manchester, then home via Stoke-on-Trent and Derby (pronounced Darby), 80-85% on dual carrigeway/motorway, running 70 mph or so
most of the way. MINI-Fred (US spec) just passed 800 miles on the odometer and needed 51 liters of UK 91 octane after driving 427 miles, which, if I did the math right, comes out to 31.7 mpg. .
