I am talking more Pure White rather than the MINI Pepper White (which could be a actually a big reason that MINI does not come in Pure White)
I read somewhere that in the US white is the most common color, followed by silver. I agree with that from what I see. PW is a very cool Mini color IMO. So is SS and PS. Those are my faves.

Newt, choosing the color was the hardest part!
I WAS completing my order for a PW Cooper S when at the last second(and I mean, pressing the order enter key) I said, "No, switch it to the SSilver/Black ClubmanS."
One of my best decisions, since the car is different colors in different light.

All the turkeys on this site helped provide the info that aided me in flipping my decision at the last minute.

My thoughts exactly! I'm wanting shelby stripes... but rather than going with black maybe a darker version of the SS. What do ya'll think?

T8R? Does that mean you own a McDonalds?
Oak Cliff...you mean in Dallas?

Post a pic of the stripes you're looking at.
I thought about Vipers, then noted how small the barn doors are anyway, so I went witht the bonnet(elitist word) stripes.

T8Rchick...the McDonalds question was related to T8R. Bad humor.

Blue looks great.

Updated shot, too. Sparkling Silver shots seem to look better when taken near dusk.

We need more pictures before this beautiful color is removed from the palatte of options.
Crazy Deutschlanders. They know soccer, but not great color schemes.
I see a beautiful R56 driving home every day. It's the little brother of my Clubman, with stripes and colors.

I know it's OT, but is there a SS Owner's Club thread? I've got a sighting that I want to try to chase down.

HELP!-picture request-SS/Silver Clubman

I have on order a Sparkling Silver Clubman with Silver top and C pillars.
Has anyone else ordered this unusual combo?
Am I nuts?
Anyone have any picture links to one of these?
Is it illegal to order this color combo?
Could I be thrown in styling jail?

Those photos first appeared in this thread: http://www.mini2.com/forum/mini-club...dquarters.html
The photographer says the pics came from a bad phone camera, and the actual color of that car is Dark Silver. However, they do make the color look like Sparkling Silver, so it gives you an idea of what the combination looks like.

Hi JimJ,

I live in Germany and there you can see lots of different color combinations, but SS with silver top and c-pillars i haven´t ever seen. It is quite unusual.
Be happy, it will be a very unique one!!

What's the backstory about SS being discontinued?

Thanks rkw and JnC. Duh! It would help if I read through this thread
before I asked.
I still would love to see an outdoor, in the sun, picture of the
SS/Silver Clubman.

I've been searching for one for months and found nothing but the ones you just saw. However, IMO, you have nothing to worry about; I think it will be a fantastic combination! That particular combo came down to our "final two" choices when we were ready to order, and the main reason we didn't go for it was because hubby decided he wanted most to go with a fun/sporty/eye-catching color combo this time as opposed to a classy, elegant one (and since it was his car we were replacing this time... ). Had MINI allowed us to choose the "English Malt" lounge leather (only available on the Cabrio) along with it, we would probably be driving it now! It also didn't help that neither of our final combinations were available to look at "in the flesh" so we went by our imagination and a color chip. Thankfully, we're very pleased with our choice!

An added benefit of Sparkling Silver/Silver, aside from its rarity, is that it will most likely be the easiest to keep clean of all the combinations, not to mention among the coolest in terms of temp. Best of Luck with it, and PLEASE post lots of pix when you get it!

BTW, what are your other specs. on it?

Keeping it clean was one of my reasons in choosing the ss/silver.
The Pepper White/Silver was my other choice. Again, for not showing
dirt and I perfer 2 lighter colours.(have to spell colour the proper British way).
My '02 and '05 Cooper 'S' were Electric Blue/White. I was thinking about
getting the Laser Blue/Silver like yours but since I totaled both the '02 and '05 Cooper S's, I should stay away from Blue Minis'.
My JWC Clubman S is "on order". I think is will be built in August and get to the dealer in Long Beach, Ca in September.
Specs: John Cooper Works Clubman, SS/Silver,Cloth seats,Hi-Fi speakers,
Muli-function. Not many options. I'll spend tons on aftermarket performance
parts, trying to make the car go fast(er). I'll try not to wreck this one!

Wow, our tastes must run along similar lines! Pepper White/Silver was our third choice; and for the same reasons of preferring lighter colors, and not showing dirt. Also, I've wanted an Electric Blue/White MINI ever since I first saw one, so Laser Blue/Silver was as close as we could get! (Silk Green is my other all-time fav.) And lastly, my husband would have chosen the JCW had it been available when we ordered (but I'm glad it wasn't as this one's plenty fast enough ). Sounds like you've got a great car on order; can't wait to see your pix!

Did someone say checks?!

Actually Newton only has the checkered mirror caps, but he is going to have a fade out checkered stripe on his roof when it arrives from MiniPirate. We just took delivery Saturday evening; I love the way this color not only looks sophisticated, but also changes with its surroundings and light conditions; the dawn and the sunset are particularly flattering! This color is perfect for me, but every one of the MINI colors is a perfect match for someone - or hundreds of someones!
