Greetings!

Well the time is almost here - I pick up my new Clubman S tomorrow!
From the instant I started to see the previews and reviews coming in I knew I would be an owner...I will be leaving an 04 Acura TL...and won't look back.

It will be quite an adventure as I needed to rent a car one way to go pick it up about 2 hours drive from home...(I did not want to make Mom and daughter do that much driving for my new car - too much car seat time for a 14 month old.)

Anyway - very excited to join the ranks - thanks so much for all the great contributions...makes it very easy to do your research and get honest feedback with a forum like this...thank you all!

Cheers

Where are you picking up the car from? Ft. Lauderdale or Jax?

Ok, I made it back home with the car...it was a great drive.
The specs are:

Clubman S
Pepper white with silver roof/mirrors, and bonnet stripes.
Black Leatherette interior, checker trim.
Automatic Trans, moon roof, silver/black pin stripe

I really lucked out on this find in all of Florida my options seemed to be black roof, no moon roof, or fully loaded...

I'll most likely add ipod connector.(the line in/out is a huge improvement over my old Monster FM modulator.)

I really dug in on the posts here to get as much owner info as possible before making my decision...you guys certainly know what you are talking about...this thing Rocks!

I really am impressed with the auto transmission - in sport mode it feels just like I am using a manual. Highway speed and traffic were no problem. This car can turn it on when necessary...don't worry nothing that would be too rough on the break in period.

Without further ado:

Congratulations on your new MCCSa - sounds as though you had a great first run on the way home from the dealer's.

check out the harmon kardon drive & play. it's an ipod interface. charges the ipod, has a dash mounted screen, & a control **** that works like the ipod. You can actually find songs & playlists while driving. Itwas electronic product of the year last year. Sold for around $200.00
BEST OF ALL YOU CAN GET IT ON EBAY FOR $28.00.
Put one in my wife's Land Rover LR3. It's great. took about 15 minutes to install. completely removable. looks & works great. Heck I would have paid $200 for it.

When I got my MCS at that dealership, thay had a couple working there that did that to new cars. They personalize the cars and it is done while you are doing the paperwork.

Yeah, they are big into the dealer add ons, it became an issue doing our deal because I don't personally believe in the teflon paint protection...did not want lojack, and wouldn't have spec'd the pin stripes, but I do like them.

We were able to work through our differences, obviously, but they had the car and they came through on my terms. Salesman was great, but all else was the same old dealer runaround...just have to power through you know what I mean...

Yep, very small mini logo in the pin stripe...

Cool! I saw you posted on Sunshine MINIs, check out the Brevard County Forum and come out to one of our meets sometime. We've been kind of relaxed lately as far as meeting up goes. We used to meet every third Friday of the month at the Avenues in Viera. We have not done that lately and will probably start meeting up on Saturday afternoons since that is easier for most people. Hopefully you can meet with us sometime.

I'll watch the Breavrd forum and certainly try to catch up at the next event - the Avenues is close & convenient.

ejs0614, If you have any - could you post pictures of your PW/S Clubman taken in sunlight? I'm stuck between Silver roof and Black roof and trying to collect compare photos. Thanks aj
