It seems that Mini Mobile Assistance uses (used to?) this type of rack, so its possible...

I'm using the Yakima Load Warrior with a mini factory rack I bought from Morristown Mini's web site. As a bonus, my yakima components (copperhead bike mounts and ski fittings) fit the load warrior cross bars. It does add a fair amount of wind noise and I haven't done any mpg studies, yet... If I notice any huge differences in mileage, I'll post again.

I installed the mini rack myself and I have not had any problems with a leaking clubdoor as mentioned in this thread. The load warrior clamps onto the mini crossbars with no issues that I found.

jameszimo, I need to pull the trigger on a rack. I need to carry a bike. Which one did you order off their web site, the R55 version? Did you order it recently or a while back? I wonder if I order the R55 if they will sell now that they have put a hold on that version.

It looks like the front would accept a wind deflector pretty easily. That might help with noise and MPG ?

I ordered the Mini rack March 23rd online. I specified the Clubman rack when I ordered, and the rack itself is labeled as part #82 71 0 435 846 (which I believe is the R55 version).

The load warrior came with a wind deflector, but I haven't mounted it up, yet. Hopefully, it will help with the wind noise.
