Weird start to my day. This morning I'm walking my dog and I hear a car coming down my street. I look up to see that it's a PW/B Clubman. Freaked me out for a second because I swore I had just seen mine in the garage. It pulls into a neighbors driveway and when they get out of the car I say to them "Nice Clubman." The driver looks at me, says nothing and turns around and walks away.

 

As I was driving my brand new CR/B clubman home from the dealer today, a four hour trip, I saw a PW/B clubman heading the other direction on I-81 in Virginia.

 

There is one other clubbie in my town Laser Blue/Silver... I see him so sporadically...I've seen one PW/PW, but she was an older women, and didn't get the wave Most waves and flashes I get are from men...Some people just don't get the "car club" thing... I happen to LOVE when someone, flashes or waves... It means that they "get it", the whole love for you mini...or they just think I'm cute KIDDING....

I had been looking forward to driving my new clubman and waving at all the other mc owners. I passed six minis today, the second day of ownership, and not one driver waved! I was so disappointed!

Nah. It's my neighbor's daughter. They are great people. Love the parents. I just figure she's not quite like the parents. Guess she doesn't get it...

It's still rude to not say "Thank you" when someone compliments you, but at least you know "the rest of the story".

 

I saw my first wild Clubman ever today but I couldn't catch it. Weird that Hendrick in Charlotte has sold quite a few Clubmans but I never see them.

I also passed two MINIs today who did not know the secret handshake wave.

I haven't gotten around to finding my 18-55mm SLR lens. The one I mostly use and is on my camera now is a fixed lens that I can't get anything in the picture.

I have some stills but they seem way too big for the forum limits. I guess I need to host them myself.

It looks fantastic, it really does, at least I think so. I didn't know it would be plastic though. I don't want to use the "f" word that rhymes with mimsy, but you get my drift. I wouldn't do it any other way though, I like the look.

 

Had a Green and Silver clubman behind me today on Va. Bch. Blvd. near towne center. She passed by but did not wave

 

Spied an Astro Black with silver pillars turning into a shopping center (Target) in Mt. Kisco, NY today.

I was passed by a lady driving a LB/S Clubman S somewhere between CT line and Newburgh, NY on I84 yesterday. And today, I saw a HC/S Clubman S with sport stripes heading south waiting to pay the toll at the I84 exit of the Mass. Pike.

 

Lightening Blue booking in the left lane on I-485 inner loop. I was on the outer loop, no wave.

 

Saw a HC/S on Maple road Buffalo NY today

 

Spotted: a beautiful LB/S Clubman...right down the street from me in Seattle. Now I'm officially a stalker as I have changed my route home to make sure I pass by to catch a glance.

 

I passed by one this morning.....and waved....doh...it was in my garage!!

 

Doh, meant La/S, but I'm still jealous!

 

We drove our new Red/Silver Clubman from Virginia on Saturday (we're planning to relocate to Greenville). No problems, a great ride (with three people and luggage) and great gas mileage (the onboard computer said we averaged 42 MPG since we got the car with 4 miles on the odometer).

Today we drove back toward our hotel on Roper Mountain Rd and a new Lightning Blue/Black Clubman passed us on the right. No wave, no honk - nothin' !

The male driver must have just purchased the car as it had a temporary license plate. It was a great looking car - I was just looking to share some Mini love...

This was the first Clubman sighting while driving our Clubman (we had one other here in Greenville while driving our Chevrolet Aveo).

saw my first fellow HC today on 146 in Ri at 9:00AM.

 

Pulled away from Morristown Mini yesterday behind a woman and her son who were driving their just-delivered HC/S Clubman S.

They had a kind of ear-to-ear grin that I've seen before. Let's see...hmm. Where was it? Oh, yeah. In the mirror.
