Yeah, I don't understand it, our local dealership has sold tons of them and I would have sworn I'd be running into many of them by now... but nothing. Maybe we don't get out enough! Actually, from maacodale's account, they do seem to be a lot more common down south of here.

Our dealer is sponsoring a "MINI Movie Night" next week-end where we hope to see a few, so you can bet we'll be bringing our camera. And yes, you'll probably want to start travelling with yours too; we've got a lot of catching up to do for the "Clubman Capture" thread!

 

Movie night, eh? Back to back versions of "The Italian Job"? Have fun there. Is there a regional or local MINI group around where you live - if so, you might want to check it out. The holiday season usually brings out the MINI owners to do some kind of charitable drive - pun intended - which is a great way to meet other owners and do something altruistic as well. There are bound to be some Clubman drivers there.

 

AAMOF, they run that one at the dealership all the time on the "big screen". This movie is going to be the new James Bond flick, "Quantum of Solace", at a local theatre. We're hoping to meet some new MINI folks as several from the local group will be there for a "meet & greet" before the movie as well. Hope you're right about the holidays bringing more activities; up to now it's been kinda slow. Either way, we're really looking forward to it.

FINALLY, I've had my FIRST Clubman sighting while DRIVING MY CLUBMAN!!! My husband and I went to O'Charleys for brunch yesterday, and there was a gorgeous Dark Silver/Black Clubman with black racing stripes parked right there in the lot. Of course, I parked next to it...unfortunately I didn't have a camera to snap a picture.

 

Cool! Still pretty lonely here in mid-coast Maine... there are a few R56 MINIs about, but I haven't seen another Clubman since the day we were hailed by a HC Clubman on route 295 in Portland, on our way home from pick-up!

 

Wow, seven months and I've seen my SECOND Clubman in north Texas.

Dark Silver and Silver. It did look good, which proves there's not an ugly Clubman out there.

 

Amazing--it's testimony to great design--haven't seen an ugly Clubman yet.

So Dragon, is north Texas like north of Portland, ME--another world?

Actually saw two this week. A HC/B Clubman in Yorktown and a LiB/S near Langley AFB. We're growing in numbers here on the VA peninsula.

I finally saw my first MCC on the streets in Phoenix, but sadly we were in my wife's car because since we've gotten our MCCs (August) we hadn't driven hers and decided it needed its legs stretched and of course now I see another Clubman, alas.

 

Was that me? I can be seen on 295 on occasion.

The HC Clubman that passed us (we had transfer plates, kinda being cautious) was driven by a gray haired man—I think. Judging from your gallery, I'd guess it wasn't you. No matter. I suspect there's less than half a dozen of us north of Portland.

 

You hardly ever see the lightening blue because it is Roberta's and she is always IN IT, on the road! She thinks nothing of two trips to the city in one day.

Mine is 3 months old this week and I am just passing 1200 miles. Not a lot of mileage from Suffern to Hillburn. (In my defense I have made two trips to the city in the three months) Although, sometimes I do go home for lunch and that does double the clock.

I recently took the stripes off and added 4 lamps. And, I got my DUCTTAPE plate back from DMV recently

Here's the second Clubbie I've seen in Longmont, CO.

Caught it today--might have made the driver nervous. It had to have been obvious that I was following, and to see someone with
a camera taking pictures of you from behind, well, I think it explains why the driver made a sharp turn away from me.

Oh, well. I got the pictures.

 

Saw my first Clubman today (at least while driving my clubman also). It was in Mesa, we were on Power Rd and the HC clubbie turned from Power Rd west onto Baseline...

Anyone on here....??

 

I finally spotted the first one while driving my Clubman at the same time. It was completely black with black tinted windows. The driver did wave. Ironically, it was when I was VERY close to work, I mean the building was only 50 feet away. I've seen only one Clubman when at work, looking out the window.

 

DragonWagon, I'm also in North Texas. Here's my rundown on Clubman sightings:
saw one on I-35 sometime in March or April
saw TWO on the SAME day around mid-October (Notice that I'm steaming over the fact that I forgot my camera AGAIN!)
saw my fourth just yesterday!

 

saw another clubbie today. Was eating some lunch at Cibo, ABOUT 5th Ave north of Van Buren in downtown Phoenix. It was PW/B about 1:30pm...

 

Nope... wasn't me. Although my wife is always quick to point out that I have two or three strands of gray hair while she has none. I know that she works with a lady in Westbrook that has an HC/B Clubman, and I've heard of at least one other HC/S spotting in Portland.

 

WOW, 3 clubbies in 1 week!?!? Saw another 1 today just as it pulled into REI around 1pm today in Tempe...

 

Passed a silver/silver Clubman today in Nags Head, NC. Probably one of my least favorite combos, but hey, it's still a Clubman! Was awful clean though!
