HAHA.. I saw 2 in 3 weeks.. I'm in NJ, saw one while at the park with my daughter.. I got sooooooo excited i was pointing and waving like a MANIAC...lol so embarassing. ANd, I saw another 2 weeks ago.. a BLue.. and waved..

I had my first "Clubman in the Wild" sighting today. It was a dark silver Clubman S with silver trim driving North on Poverty Hollow Rd. in Newtown, CT at about noon. I announced the MINI sighting to my kids as I always do and then when I caught sight of the boot in my rearview mirror, I screamed "I't a CLUBMAN!!!!!!!" like I was off my rocker! I can't wait to see one while driving my own.

 

One of the first road trips I'm planning, once I get my new baby, is to CT. I know Poverty Hollow Road very well! We used to refer to it as Hoverty Pollow, or Not at All Poverty Hollow. I'll be sure to wave if I see you!!

 

When are you scheduled to get your baby elegantmini?? I will definitely wave back at ya. I travel on Poverty Hollow every day on my way to work! And you are right, the name of the road is quite an oxymoron!

 

I'm scheduled for a week 36 build (and keeping my fingers crossed) so at best I'd be down your way sometime in November. Hey, once Lola arrives I can picture at least one place on Poverty Hollow that might be a good spot to take shots destined for "Show Us Your Pictures..."

Saw my first Clubbie in Raleigh NC, outside of the one in my own driveway. It was a shiny, pretty black one with a silver roof/pillars driving south on Falls of Neuse Tuesday. I waved, but wasn't in my Clubbie, was in my Astro van

 

Flash and flash back today on rout 28 in the Adirondacks I was in my PW/PW with bikes on top other car was HC/S.

 

how come no one in CA has plates? They just have dealer placards?

 

Because these babies are so new! That's why no DMV plates yet!

 

Speaking of plates, does anyone know if you have to notify the DMV of your new car, or does the DMV get notified automatically when you buy your car and the plates get sent to your home?

 

Good question. If you're buying out of state, you have to register your car (ie, notify the DMV). If you're buying within state, I believe the DMV automatically gets notified.

PS - I have already reserved my personal Clubman plates with the DMV in CA! (that ones for you Wampa!)...

 

Finally saw a clubman in the "wild". Today on Rt 7 in Northern Va. at 2:00pm, it was a chocolate withe checkered top. Couldn't get the attention, she was exiting Rt 7 as I was going south bound.

 

Just saw another CR/B Clubman today, it looked like maybe it was JCW'ed, saw some 18" wheels on it. Now I need some cool parts!

 

Saw a HC/S in Ridgewood, NJ a couple days ago. First sighting while driving my clubbie and not at a MINI dealer.

Yesterday, saw a CR/B on Route 17 in Paramus -- maybe on the way to Prestige Mini. (My kids call Route 17 "the MINI Highway" because they always see so many on it.)

No honks, flashes, or waves. I get very few from any type of MINI.

 

I'll be in that area in the first week of Sep. You bet if I see you you'll get a hi.

 

I saw like 7 MINIs today and finally my first CLUBMAN!

I guess I wasn't technically driving, well I was, but his was parked and I parked near it. He happened to be coming out and we had a chat. Lightning Blue S.

I agree...the Sparkling Silver/Silver combo is very nice. It is one of those combos that the configurator really doesn't do justice to. It looks way better in photos (and I assume even better than that in person).

 

It is very nice in person! Great color combo, thought about it, but ended up going with pepper white/black.

 

Yesterday during our first full day of ownership I saw a Sliver Clubman at the opposite light. We exchanged waves and motored away. My first MINI wave and it was another Clubman.
